Três Marias Graduate Fellow in Portuguese and Luso-Afro-Brazilian Cultures
The Três Marias Graduate Fellowship in Portuguese and Luso-Afro-Brazilian Cultures supports graduate research and publication that center or incorporate Lusophone cultures and literatures. The Três Marias Graduate Fellowship is awarded on a yearly basis to one graduate researcher, who receives $1500 a semester ($3000 for the year) to support their work in any capacity, from enabling continued work at Rutgers to research at archives or institutions abroad. During their fellowship year, fellows will help support the Portuguese Program of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the initiatives of the Três Marias Research Chair, which may include event production, participation, promotion, and social media engagement. Fellows may also serve as a representative of the Portuguese Program in a limited capacity. Fellows will present their work as part of the annual Três Marias Research conference and/or report on the standing of their research at the end of their fellowship year.
